WTF is going on????????

wtf, i am having trouble wit me HU. it just started doing this. everytime it rains my hu stops wurking. if i drive either fast or let it sit for a couple of hours, it starts working, i am thinking that i have a wire somewhere that is getting wet and grounding itself out or something. but it seems like when i either make it dry out or give it time to dry out, it works fine, pleeeeeeeeeease help, what do i need to do?

that might be the srangest ? i've come across yet.... but lets figure it out. i really don't think the rain is playing a part in this and what exactly are you letting dry out??? are you saying the sound cuts out or the whole power to the deck? if its the sound do you have seperate amps? if its the deck.... well water shouldn't be anywhere near your cd player so i'm just lost on that part... but did you install it or someone else. if you did then did you use a wiring harness or did you splice the factory wiring. have you checked all your connections for constant, ground, and ignition. and make sure all other wires coming off your deck are capped off so they don't short anything. also did you try thowin in the stock deck and seeing if it does the same thing... how old is your deck and is it reliable?? get to work .. let us know whats up

Maybe it is the heat, especially if you're running amps. What deck is it? I think it might be overheating somehow and maybe it take a little while to cool back down, or maybe the fast speed brings more air into it hmm

arright, heres what happened. my car got broken into, and the idiots took the faceplate off of my cd player, for some reason they left the hu. any way, it was hooked up using a harness. so i diy'ed replacing the factory hu, unplugged the harness and reinstalled the factory, no wires cut. but, this was a problem before i had the aftermarket hu, but not during the time i had it, and now, its back. but, it only happens when it rains. so i dont know what the problem is. but, it doesnt power off, the sound just cuts out. i've replaced all of the factory speakers also. i put in a rockford fanatic x comp sys in the front, and put in alpine 6 X 9's in the rear, could it be a problem there??? they took all of my speakers, so i had to go back to my old setup, lucky for me i kept it. but i dont understand this. why does the sound cut out? like i said, it only happens when it rains. it doesnt occur when i wash my car, so i'm thinking that maybe it isnt the water and is just a coincidence.
