Testing my RCA Pre-Outs, any ideas?

Hey all,
I recently setup my sub system, amp, sub, deck, and the necessary wiring. Well the moment of truth arrived and the amp came on, the deck came on, but the sub was silent.

I've tested the sub elsewhere, so that's ok. The amp I presume is working (but will also test). How can I test to see if the RCA's are sending signal? Could be I have blown pre-outs.

Thanks

you know if the amps working by the light(i think all amps have a light to tell you its on/off)
try hooking the RCAs to someone else's amp
replace your RCA with someone else's

Make sure the amp is turning on, check the load, if the resistance is too low that might cause the amp not to start. Check your grounds, make sure you scraped away the paint to expose the bare metal for the best connection. Check the fuses as well. If all this checks out, check your gains and the voltage on the RCAs.

civic racer is wright start with the basics fuses and connections this may sound dumb but make sure the wires inside the box did not come off I had a boston 12 with the monster cable that is almost monster "rod " because it is so thick and it kept popping off I checked the connection hooked it up and it was firing
