Electrical system question...

I have an MTX 6304 4 channel amp and plan on getting a JBL bp1200.1 amp. Will I be running into problems if I crank it up to the max? I know the stock alternator is 70 amps. Can it handle these two amps?

Well you'll most definately need to upgrade your alt-battery wire and ground wire to 4 guage...even then though, if you have it really cranked for moderate periods of time it can drain out your battery..so be careful..

The reason for me getting a JBL bp1200.1 is that I plan on getting an Adire Audio Brahma 12" sub. A lot of people have this amp/sub setup. Since the JBL will be putting a big strain on my electrical system, I'll have to step down to a smaller amp. Say 600-900 watts. Can you recommend me some good mono amps that put out 600-900 watts either at 1 ohm or 4 ohm?

hell, crank it whenever you want, thats what its there for! Thats what your paying $650+ for!

I think what mowhawk is trying to say ( ) is that you shouldn't go on a 5 hour road trip and blast it the whole way. A real quick way to drain your battery.........

Or just play it safe and invest in a High Output Alternator. I have the same 4 channel and wanted an MTX 6500D, but I thought that would be too much of a strain on my system. I'm happy with components and 6x9's.
