I got some major noobie questions...Help anyone!
I don't look at the audio forum much and I dont kno much about audio but I have decided to get me a HU and speakers with my graduation money.
Im lookin at a Panasonic CQ-DF402U...Im gettin it at a flea market for cheap.
Anywhooos I got some questions...(I own a Civic EX coupe)
after doin some mad research on this forum it looks like the 6x9's are hard to install. Will it be all right if I went ahead and replaced it with 6-3/4? Is there a downside to this, lose of power cuz they are smaller? am I jus wrong and should I jus go wit regular 6x9 cuz people have them installed but they did lil mods on them like bent it or sumthing..I dont wanna do that.
Also with the door and tweets is there a size that will fit perfect on them or is the 3.5" and 6.5" stock size good, I'v read about the door speaker mounting depth of 2 5/8. Is there a mounting depth on tweets and rear speakers also? ANything I should be aware of?
Basically if anyone could give me dimensions to all three of these speakers it would be so keen. Dimensions that will fit perfect. Im not installing these...a friend of mine is and he knos what's up on the audio department but I dont wanna give him items that won't fit and doing custom things perfessionally is cool...but we're not professionals so if you can give me good sizes for easy install I will love you forever!
THanks!

Okay..
Are you going to to be powering the speakers off your HU of plan on getting an amp.
Since rear speakers a hassle why not get better front speakers and a small amp for them. This will improve bass response and offer a louder and cleaner sound.
For the doors. Pretty much any speaker will fit with the proper spacing. If you're running the speakers off HU power. I'd reccomend bottom end Clarion co-ax's for the 6x9's. Shallow mounting depth. Work decent with low power and offer some decent lower end bass response...
Cheers

6.5s in teh back will flex less than a 6x9 and many audio purists would bnever run oval speakers in teh first place.... if they are cheaper and sound good to you id look into teh 6.5 route.
