im installing a system for the first time, i wanna know, the gromet that i found to get into the engine bay was on the passengerside pretty close to the center console.. is that the correct grommet? Also i wanna know the remote wire, where is the best place to connect it, and what color is the wire and where is this wire located, also the RCA's do you run them down the center console and then split them when you get by the back seats or what im a little confused on those.. Also i have stock speakers for now, would i have to wire them so that they come to my amp or will the amp send power to the speakers through, the head unit? Please help a noobie at installing a system.
okay i looked at the wiring chart in the DIY section, it said its black and yellow the 12 volt for the remote wire, but where is the ignition switch harness?

a wire harness will solve all your problems installing yoru deck. I assume you are installing an amp if you are running a power cable, it doesnt matter where you run it, as long as it gets to where you want it. just be sure to keep the power cable away from your RCA cables, which you can also run anywhere you want them to.
your remote will be free from the head unit wire harness, you can easily solder a wire onto it and run it with your RCA's to wherever your amp is. there is no need to hook up your remote wire from yoru deck to your car's existing E-system.
If you are using your amp to power your stock speakers, the easiest way to get everything wired up is to forget about that wire harness, use t-taps or scotchlocks to tap into your three power wires (power, ground, and ACC) the rest is done by everything else. run your remote with teh RCA's, and run your speaker wires from the amp to each kickpanel, its far easier to tap into teh wires there then it is to try and run new cables through the rubber section where they are already run.
rear deck is so simple a child could do it, im sure you already have that one down.
and be sure you ahve a solid ground, you have about five options where to ground if your amps are in the trunk, and you have eight options if your amps are under the front seats (one of the nine seat bolts, and there are four screws in teh trunk that hold your carpet down, these make exelent ground points.)
any other questions?
