I am not looking to spend a lot of money, but I think that the Rockford's are the best for the money. Let me know what you guys think.

i think their good for their price. people say they dont sound that good but they THUMP so good enough for me. i'm plannin on getting the 12" power hx2 1000WRS!!! for only like $250.

RF subs = LOUD but sound really crappy.

if you dont care about sound quality (SQ) then these are definitely a sub to look into!

ANYTHING will sound loud put in a large ported box (pyramid, eclipse, JL, rockwood, sony) but RF has the advantage over subs like pyramid in that they can take a boatload of power.

as far as worth the money? you can get anything for the cost of an HE2 sub. not worth it. but teh sheer powerhandling of a POWER HX2 can justify the cost (again SQ is a non issue)

if you can get a deal on RF, and want LOUD, i think you found your brand.

ya the box makes a BIG difference. before i had a huge ported box(looked like a sealed but had a 1.5" slit running from the top to bottom). it barely fit my trunk.... it hit pretty good and the quality wasn't that badd with my sony's either(well for $50 a peice it hit pretty good). now i have them in a bandpass box n they sound like sh*t. dont hit nearly as hard and doesn't even sound as nice either. it was going from the best box to the worst...
bandpass boxes usually cost the most and sound the worst, point is DONT GET IT. (if you do you could always buy it off me [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] )

Thanks I think i am gonna wait until I have some more $$$ and get a good system.
