Have a minor noise problem, would like some help.
Alright, just finished making my trunk as quiet as a tomb, but now there is one more noise left unsolved. If any of you have ever had your trunk carpet out, you should have noticed a black square piece on the left, with a rubber flap on it. This allows air to move out of the trunk freely, but not let any in. I was just wondering if it would harm anything to silicone this flap shut, because it makes this little fart noise everytime the bass hits. Thats the only noise that is left to kill, and was just wondering if it would be A-Okay to seal her up.
i have fiberglass over mine, and have had no operatiing problems thus far with my vehicle.
unfortunately system wise, my sub was sent in for repairs before i did that, so i dont know how that will affect the system. I assume that it will only help, as air will not escape out.....
but yeah, it doesnt harm teh vehicle in teh short run at all (i glassed it last month)

I Just replaced mine with a small air filter to keep air flowing...it is technically allright to cover that up, specially since our cars have alot of other air leaks anyways
