Need some amp help please!!! quick!!

ok, i just recently got a kicker 440.1 mono class d amp. i also have a RF 200.2 amp going to the rear deck. The kicker amp is going to a 12" kicker comp vr (2 ohm dvc). i have the sub ran in a series making the sub 4 ohm. My system rocks, but every once in a while a song will come on or a bass line will hit and the amp cuts off. i have 4 guage power ran all the way to the back then splits and goes into each amp with 8 guage. the same with the ground 8 guage comes out of the amps and then into a block and is grounded with 4 guage. What is causeing this amp to cut off, insufficent ground or what?????

well nothing beats drilling a small hole in the trunk floor and stripping a square inch of paint off and bolting the wire on with a terminal.

But the seat bolt is plenty adequate..

could be protection for teh amp. possibly a clipped signal? or maybe your asking too much of teh amp, try checking the load with a DMM, might be less than 4 ohms....

sounds to me like its a protection problem resulting from trying to draw too much current from the amp... check your impedances...
