your deck (head unit) should have a remote wire on it unless it's stock.(this is the best because then it's only on when you have your stereo on)

If you don't have one of those you can wire it to your ignition ( then it will turn off when you turn the car off),
or you can wire it to a switch (just make sure you remember to turn off the switch)

If you take off the panel under your steering colom you should find a fuse box.
look on the cover for the fuse box for the "ign" or the "alt" .
Then pull one or the other (make sure you remember where you pulled itr from)
then just connect a wire to ONE side if the fuse and then stick the fuse back in the slot.
when you connect the other end of the wire to the "rem" on your amp and turn on the car it should work.

No offense to silver, but hooking a wire to the fuse by wrapping it around the pin and pushing it back in is not the most professional way to go. I have had to fix many cars that had intermittant problems because the wires pushed the contacts away inside the fuse box. Plus it looks as if you were in a hurry.

The right way is to either hook it up to the remote wire, or hook it up to the radio's acessory wire. The easiest way is to remove the area around cigarette lighter and connect it to that wire.

Peace

The remote wire should be blue(if you bought and actual remote wire). Its blue for a reason. The remote wire is blue on the radio harness.

if you dont even know where your remote wire is you should just have someone else do it. cuz you're gonna mess it up, probably run your power wire along with your audio cables and cause a buzz in your speakers. just take it in. costs like 20 bucks, save yourself some uneeded confusion.

Do not put the remote wire at one end of the fuse and put it back in!!!!!! You can ""FRY"""" your amp, how do I know? Cuz I did that in my earlier installation from what my dumb anus friend told me to do. Fried my 300 buck amp....

I got two things...

#1- A WIRE STRAIGHT TO FUSE IS IGNORANT (no offence). IF you have an aftermarket HU use the remote wire on that and if you have a stock HU wire it to a switch. It looks better and you wont chance frying something.

#2- WRONG FORUM, use the ICE forum for "In Car Entertainmant" questions!! If you did a search in ICE you would have probably found an answer to your question.
