2001 - Power Window Woes

I bought my 2001 LX as a work beater a couple years ago and the passenger window has never worked. The other 3 windows work flawlessly and the AC blows cold, so I've never bothered to investigate.

I got bored this week.....

1) Pulled the door panel and discovered that the window regulator was unplugged.

2)Wasn't the easy fix that I was hoping. The window goes down, but won't come back up.

4) I installed a new window regulator, assuming I had a bad one. Unfortunately that didn't make a difference and and I was able to verify that both were working fine by hooking a 12v power supply directly to the power leads on the regulator.

5) Swapped the window switches next, thinking one and/or the other was bad. I also noticed at this point that the I hadn't tested the drivers side switch since the whole fiasco started, and that the original and the replacement don't do anything for the passenger window. Still at square one and it's getting old having to take the door apart and hook alligator clips to the leads on the window regulator when I want to roll the window up.

Any ideas? I traced the wiring the best I could and didn't see any shorts and it's not blowing the fuses.

Are you getting voltage on the blue/red wire at the switch connector? If no voltage then there's a break in the wire. Most likely place is in the rubber wire boot in the door hinge area.
