Hey did anyone see those 3 inch deep flat panel subwoofers in the magazine they are made by blaupunkt if so does anyone have specs on them or know anything about them?

imaging is an extreme concern with flat panel speakers. while a standard speaker will emit sound more or less in every direction, a flat puts out a majority of sound perpendicular to teh flat "cone" was never popularized with computer speakers for this reason.

id avoid, personally, but if you demo them and like them, who cares what we say?

they are a subwoofer, who cares where the sound goes. its just going to bounce around the trunk.

ya I saw those, but they're still blaupunk and sice they're new they're probably gonna cost too much $$$ when you could buy something else for less $ and get a better product

It's a subwoofer.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG].. flat works.. PPI has had massive success with their Pro series subs.. Blaupunkts..I have no clue how they will sound..but for thos ewho have very little space..they can now mount a 12" sub under a seat!!..which is pretty cool..
