I stripped my interior. I added peel and see lone layer all surfaces (it's done so don't bother being happy or mad) I now want sound absorption. I know I can get jute it seams kinda thick but is easy to find at Home Depot. But I was wondering about mass loaded vinyl. I want something for in between the carpet and the peel and seal. I don't want to order it. I want to go to the store tonight or tomorrow and buy it. Walmart, Joann fabrics, Home Depot, lowes, or.... I live in north east pa. I don't want anything brand name. Just a generic wannabe or two and a location it can be purchased. I will be stuffing areas with jute as we'll but this will be primarily for the doors, firewall, the floors and the trunk and maybe even the wheel wells.

Don't care about how heavy my car will be or how it will smell. Just looking for some good solid answers. Thank you.

I've heard of people using carpet padding from Lowes or Home Depot. That should be something they keep in stock and it's easy to cut and work with to fit it into the car.

Yup it's what they call jute I believe. I will probably use that if I don't get a line on mass loaded vinyl or closed cell foam. Even if I do get a lead on the mlb or Ccf I may still use the carpet padding (aka jute) on the floor. I am defiantly using that to stuff some areas of the car in and around the rear seat and under the deck lid.

Also there are forty options I'm not that knowledgable which ones should I consider. Doors floors and trunk.

i don't believe the thinsulate can be bought at a retail store its a niche product used mainly buy high end auto manufacturers like mercedes most places that sell it sell it in bulk. contact the mod ''gearbox'' i believe he found a cheap source for the material. also if you click on each individual product it gives a description of application.
