because a three sub setup can look great, its all a matter of taste.
you say why three subs instead of 2 better subs....how about three better subs?
Id love to do an install with three shiva and a 1200.1, persoanlly. but I was not destined for 12's
my reccommendation is to install them either rear facing in a plane wall, or forward facing aranged on an angled baffle. (kinda like having a "U" shape, with the top of the U at the cabin entry point and forward facing subs)
forward facing subs will always have better SQ than rearfacing subs, but unless you separate the rearwave from teh front, your gonna get cancellations, therefore reduced SPL. but youll love the sound you do get.
if you do separate the rearwave, then there is no advantage to rearfacing.
As far as looks go, the bottom line is, you wanna show off your system by popping the trunk, or by folding the seats?
BTW, what 12's are they?
