Will it make a difference?

I have a kenwood excelon x994 HU. It puts out 22w x4 channels rms.

Im thinking of buying this amp-http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33466_Kenwood-KAC-1502S.html
which puts out 60w x2 channels @4 ohms rms so 30w rms if im running 4 speakers off it right?

And i have 40w rms pioneer speakers.

Will i notice an increase in power? (the speakers just sound dull right now) Or should i buy a more powerful amp?

Re: Will it make a difference?

I think you would probably notice a little bit but
how do you control front and rear fader if you run
off a two channel amp?

I would get a 50 rms x 4 amp minimum or live with the deck.

if they are the ts-a6964 mine dont sound the greatest either.

Re: Will it make a difference?

I wouldnt be able to control fader anymore but i dont care about that since i never use it, so you're saying overpower the speakers by 10w rms? and no mine are 6.5" all the way around, forget what model

Re: Will it make a difference?

I don't think over powering by 10 watts will hurt ur speakers unless u have it
wide open all the time.
I would still lean toward a 4 channel to get the most our of your deck.
50 watts would be a noticeable difference and would
also be sweet soundin
pioneer 6.5's sound good

Re: Will it make a difference?

It's not an issue over power your speakers. Just be careful when setting the gain and deck eq
