2004 Civic SE (Canadian) Keyless Entry Install (WORKING!)

Guys,

I got a keyless unit from a 2005 civic, but I don't have the harness. The harness on the 2005 civic seemed like it was all integrated into the big bundle with electrical tape. I didn't see it as a separate harness

Is it possible to hardwire this keyless unit to my 2004 civic se?

I have attached some pictures from my 2004 civic se and the keyless unit from 2005 civic.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Got this working!

I had a 2005 EX key receiver unit but it didn't work for some reason on my 04 SE. Maybe the receiver was bad or just not compatible.

Traded that for a 2001 EX key receiver and bingo!

For instructions on how to remove trim and get to wiring part:
http://www.handa-accessories.com/civic/05keyless.pdf

Wiring is straight forward. No need for Honda's pretty discontinued harness.

Here's the pin out connections:
1. Black = Ground (I connected it straight to the ground bolt)
2. Blue/Orange: You should have this wire already there connected to the accessory connector with blue tape. Remove tape and use!
3. Yellow = Ignition (cig lighter/accessory connector yellow)
4. empty
5. White/Red = constant power (I tapped the constant power from my deck... on 20 pin connector on the deck.. this is pin/cavity # 10

I programmed this with spare fob from a 2005 civic and it worked great! Lights/horns all sound when locking.

Cheers
