2004 Civic EX Coupe, some electrical problems
Hello, just bought this coupe and had some issues:
Driver side door lock doesn't work at all with the remote or with the auto lock button inside. Actuator? The key remote also LOCKS the passenger side (and the passenger side works with the auto button in the car), but it doesn't unlock the passenger side, only rarely when up close. Is this a separate issue related to the key remote receiver? How much to fix both?
Also lastly, my brake light just stopped working on left back bumper. Is this the bulb or something else? Cause when I lock it and set the alarm on, or even when I just unlock or something, it seems that the bulbs work and turn on still. Just not when I brake.
Thanks!

First, check all the fuses and connections at the under-dash fuse/relay box. *DO NOT mess with any airbag fuses*
Can you hear the actuator when you hit the button? To rule out the actuators (they can both go bad at the same time),dis-connect the connector. Then take a cordless drill battery and jump from the battery to the actuator connector. Then try it the other way. If it doesn't actuate you need a new one. If it does actuate see if it's getting voltage on the wire-side connector when you hit the button.
