Headlight Problem!!!
Headlight Problem!!!
Hi, I have a headlight problem on my canadian 2003 Civic LX sport 4dr.
When I release the handbrake after I start the car (when the DRL are suppose to come on), I get a buzzing sound coming from the car and the passenger side DRL dosent light up. When I turn on the lights on, the buzzing sound stops, but if I put the High Beams on, the light on the passenger side dosent light up....
Anyone got an idea how to fix that??
Thanks,
Dom

Re: Headlight Problem!!!
search around, more than likely a bad relay or loose solder in the drl module. pretty easy fix to open it up and resolder.
Re: Headlight Problem!!!
The Internet and the users on this site are awesome.
I had the DRL problem that got progressively worse in the last few days with the fan sound coming from the glove box and the persistent DRL light. Of course I could get rid of it by turning on my lights but I did forget them a couple of times after leaving the car and knew that would be a problem for the winter. I had checked all the bulbs and they were fine so I tried Google and got to this site where I was directed to this module and the cold solder issue.
I found the grey module under my dash, used the 2 blades to unlock the circuit board and removed the connector. The solder joints were a mess. I decided to remove the old solder with a solder sucker and clean the contacts and re-solder with new solder. I de-greased the board and replaced it and now the run lights work fine and there is no more DRL light.
Thanks for the help.
