Question on sub placement in the trunk
If I put my subs in the corners of the rear of my car facing slightly in towards the center like in the picture, is there anythign wrong with doing it like this? The diagonal lines represent the path of the sound. Is this an ok way of setting it up?
Edit: the pic didnt come out like it was supposed to so i got rid of it
By the way, thsi is for a GSR which has a hatch, not for a 2k1 civic. The subs are solobaric s10l7s in sealed boxes.
Thanks

Hmmm okay...minus the pictograms it seems quite allright..but you should keep the subs as close together as possible to avoid any unwanted cancellation.

Like that's not too good.. you'll be getting a lot of cancellation which will result in generally lower SPL and some dips in the frequency range.. best off keeping the subs as close as possible and facing the same angle... or since it's a hatch..put then both against the license place facing up
nadda matters which way sub is facing/how much power/waht type of box/phase of the moon.
if it sounds good, it sounds good.
build a couple of junk boxes and toss them in different positions around the trunk. you might find something works, or something doesnt work. then go with what sounds best. tho you'll probably find that in most cases, its all correct, but sometimes phase created by angles in teh sub configuration can increase SPL, or localize it, or boost certain frequencies (my civic has a frequency sinkhole at 45 Hz ;_
just experiment. best thing you can do.
