Best iPod adapter solution
Best iPod adapter solution
I bought a USA Spec PA11-HON or something similar about 2 or 3 years ago and have only had problems with it. I haven't tried too hard to get help from the company that I got it from and fix it because it just hasn't worked well for me. I have tried radio adapters from monster and griffin and neither have worked well. No matter what station it is on, it always seems to get interference within a few minutes and to get the best result I have to hang it from my mirror which is not ideal. I also am pretty sure I will return the griffin itrip I bought as it doesn't work nearly well enough for it to be worth $80. I'm just wondering what the best solution would be for me to be able to charge and play my iPod/iPhone in my 2004 Honda Civic EX. The options I have tried so far have not worked very well. Thanks, Kevin

Re: Best iPod adapter solution
the pa11-hon is the best on the market. it may have given you trouble in the past but the new ones are excellent. i had one about a year ago and it worked perfectly with a 4g nano. very good sound too.its the only pure digital solution using the ipod dock connector and it charges the ipod when its being used.

You can always go with a new deck, They vary in prices, and quality, I reccomend alpine or pioneer (although I only say alpine because they are good, but I dislike their designs.) If you look in my signature and check out my car I have a pioneer deck that has fantastic iPod and iPhone support.

Hi, I have a Pioneer DEH-6106 head unit in my honda civic. there is a white 14 PIN male plug on the back of the cd player unit. I hope this is for CD changer unit. will thi be useful to feed AUX input? I am searching for a female connector for this, so taht i can do soome researech...But no luck...
Can someone please confirm whether this 14 PIN socket can be used for AUX input and where i can get the female connector for this. Its a rectangle connector 6 PINs on the first row and 8 PINs on the second row.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Best iPod adapter solution
usually connectors on aftermarket units are for their own accessories like a pioneer cd changer for example.
