Electric push button Starters

Have been wanting to install a push button starter on my 2005 civic however, It appears that the column will not allow for this as there is a pesty security feature preseant. Is there a way around this. Can a person bypass the column and the security feature?
My most current investigative measures have concluded that the only way I could install this gadget is if I leave the key in the ignition and turned to the on position. Yet that would pretty much look like crap and defeat the purpose of the install.
What do you guys think?
