Hey everyone I'm getting payed soon.
I'll have $350 in my pocket and now I'm wondering what stereo would be best to put into my EM2 Honda Civic.

I'm looking for an in dash LCD screen with:

MP3
Touchscreen
Bluetooth
Aux Jack or iPod Compatible
DVD Player
GPS Navigation (Optional)
Detachable Face if available to prevent theft
Perfect fit into dash without plastic gaps.

From past experience i've had stereos that don't fit correctly into the dash and end up with a wide gap or the plastic coverings don't fit. I want to avoid that for a "clean" look.

Right now I'm still on stock factory stereo.

What do you guys have, use or recommend?

At that price, with your current specifications you won't get a good deck. If you could find one at all. Mostly because of the GPS, you won't find a double DIN GPS for under like $400 (which would be a crap one).

And double dins don't have removable faceplate (or at least i haven't seen one). If you're talking about screens that flip up i would stay away from those.

350 just isnt enough. A decent double din without GPS with DVD goes for around 400... with GPS your looking at 100-200 more. Whatever you do, don't buy no-name junk... Pioneer has some decent double dins for a decent price. Alpine is best but your looking at spending 700+.

In fact, I've never heard of this brand, -shrugs-
but 7" touch screen double DIN for $169

I remember doing some research once and IIRC each one is custom built with actual computer components and just hooked up to the OBD, so the possibilities are endless. I think they ballpark around $1000 and after that you can just keep on adding features (Internet, GPS, backup camera, satellite radio, Gran Turismo 5, etc...). And of course you also get all the regular functionalities of a typical computer.

Like everyone else said, 350 isnt enough.. the best head unit that i've come across (thanks to these guys here at civicforums) is the JVC KW-NT3HDT and it does everything except clean your dishes.. only downside is it's going to run you 800$.. you can probably get a used one if youre lucky for around 500 but thats wishful thinking
