So right now I have all stock audio parts right now. Once I get some money I plan on getting this head unit...
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113MP34...isplay=Kenwood
And these subs with the amp included in the package...
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113PW12...ood+party+pack
I also want to get new speakers. Which ones should I get?
BTW: With all do respect I don't care if you think those subs suck!

Re: 2003 Civic Coupe Speakers
Personally, I hate all Kenwood products
But my friend has that exact kenwood deck, and it sounds decent
My main problem with Kenwood is it's expandability,
With it's 2v preamp output, you limit the quality of output of amps installed
And looking at those sub and amp combo, looks like its a parallel wiring for 8ohm speakers to 4ohm load. I assume crutchfield will show easy instructions on how to wire them, but it would still be a mess.
For 220 bucks, and im guessing another 50 for a 2 12" box...270
I could get a much better deal on craigslist for a much better speaker and amp
Trust me, get better subs.
I would even get kickers, or crunch for 270
You have the same car as me...
Our trunk isnt that big to put 2 12"s (unless you get a wedge, or custom enclosure)
My suggestion?
Get 1 good 12" like a JL audio, MTX, or even alpine, and get a strong amp to power it
For speaker suggestion, you have 6.5" speakers
I have the polk db651s slim mounts, which i love and highly recommend
You can also get some infinity, rockford fosgate, or pioneer

You can, if you want, its not necessary

Think of if this way, most aftermarket head units pump ~15RMS to speakers
Most aftermarket speakers are capable of handling ~50RMS+
(RMS is constant power, not peak power)
An amp would be able to deliver the speakers the amount of power needed to reach the speaker's full potential
All in all, your speakers will sound great without it, but if you want them to sound even better, install an amp

I work with car audio and I've sold plenty of those decks. They offer really nice features for the price. I usually recommend those for customers who don't want to break the bank and want a nice deck. I give you a thumbs up for the choice on stereo.
For the subwoofer/amp package... I can't really say I would go with kenwood for subwoofers. I like their amps but you could do better. Your car is not going to go "bang, bang" but you'll get more bass than you definitely have now. If you want to alert the neighborhood that you're around I would recommend going higher in wattage and spending some more moneys. Look into hifonics if you want decent quality equipment for a decent price. That's what I have in my civic and I love it!
BTW: you can easily fit two 12's in a civic. I have a coupe and I fit both a bandpass and sealed box with no problems. No need for an angled/wedged box or a custom fit. www.onlinecarstereo.com has a decent selection of enclosures

I measured, and couldn't fit a couple, because of the bars that hold up the trunk get stuck, so i opted for 1 12" in a sealed box

Those must be some big boxes! cCrazy!! Well I will post a picture of mine so you can check it out. Have you actually tried to fit on in or did you just take measurements?

I'll get one on here for you asap. I'm getting some work done on the timing belt for my car right now but as soon as I get back I'll post some pictures up.
