Best place to mount Sirius XM antenna?
Best place to mount Sirius XM antenna?
I have to 2004 EX with the Sirius kit installed and I have that horrid antenna installed. I have it under my floor panels and routed all the way to the back where you cant see it and with my amp wires out to my trunk and out the back of my trunk onto the back top of it.... It provides a great signal but I have broken two this way because of my 12's ripping the antenna cord.
Are there any other alternative better ways to mount it? They look like this.
PS: Can anyone find me the link for the 2002-2005 tail light conversion?
Thanks!

I would mount it out the front of the car. From behind the unit, through the dash, out under the glove box, out the door and into the corner of the windshield or near there on the car. Switching your tails requires no conversion. You just unplug the bulbs and take out the old tails, install the newer ones and plug the bulbs back in.

i had mine mounted on the roof in the back, and also inside on the rear deck. both places had same/good reception (as good as you will get with xm or sirius, which isnt great).
Re: Best place to mount Sirius XM antenna?
just gonna chime in about the conversion...
the 04-05 taillights are different from the previous of the 7th gens..
i personally converted some 03 ricer tails that came when i got the car to the 04-05 and only had to change a socket and do some splicing...
I know for a fact there's a DIY somewhere on this site, but can't find it atm and really tired lol
