Firewall = Wirewall ???
Firewall = Wirewall ???
like forreall the firewall on my 01 ex coupe is like wire proof...cant seem to get they wire i need to get through to connect the switch harness to the fog light harness...i searched on these forums and found that there is an easy accesssible hole on the passanger side but i cant seem to get the wire through, i tried using a coat hanger and everything as suggested
anybody with pics they would like to share of their wiring would be greatly appreciated
on the other note i plugged the wires together from the outside and the fogs didnt turn on, checked the ground and everything and everything checked out except the switch...so might be wiring to the parking lights, how would i go about doing that im not entirely sure...fog light wires to relay-->relay to fuse-->fuse to positive battery--->other side of relay goes where exactly?

My car made me bleed when I used that grommet, but I fit a 0ga power wire through that hole.
As for the other side of the relay, it acts as the positive power supply to your fogs.
here's a basic wiring schematic I drew up a little bit ago

Re: Firewall = Wirewall ???
snapped a couple quick pics
this is looking down into the engine bay at the firewall, standing just forward of the battery. The cruise control module is probably about 1.5 feet above this

And for reference, the blue wire sticking through (JL audio amp power wire, if you look closely) is 0 gage, with a lot of insulation around the wire. 13.61mm is .536"

Re: Firewall = Wirewall ???
thanks a lot man i really appreciate the pics and stuff...
that grommet, wouldnt it be behind the glove box? i noticed a blue wire as well last night and figured that grommet was too high to be the 1 i found on the passenger's side so i would have to remove the glove box correct?
hmmm do you just push the wire through? or you have to put your finger in there and try to guide it through?
thanks again man

Re: Firewall = Wirewall ???
I tried to find a place for my 12 volt amp wire to go through a week ago. i actualy treid to fit it through the hole in the passenger side in the other pic below but it would fit so i ended up running it through the hole in the side where the door opens.
Re: Firewall = Wirewall ???
UPDATE!!!
finally got them running...i tucked the wires through the fender things by the door and under the carpet on the passanger side...i think i spliced the switch with the parking lights lol but the fogs are hooked up to the battery with a fuse and relay
soo when my parking lights go on the buttton lights up with everything else inside the car and when i press it the fogs go on YAY lol
