2004 honda civic dx issue

hey guys I have a slight issue with my 2004 honda civic DX which is a 4 door model. Basically my headlights have been turning on and off at random times and now my high beams don't seem to work so initially I figured the issue was my high beams so I replaced them but 2 days later the same issue arose. Basically when I turn on my high beams neither will work or maybe 1 of them will work and then when I turn my lights off and back on sometimes the beams will turn back on. Can anyone relate to my issue? Can anyone please point me in the right direction and maybe give me advice on how to fix it on my own because I pay the honda dealership so much money for tune ups as it is and I would hate to have to pay them more money for an issue like the head lights.

Re: 2004 honda civic dx issue

yeah it's just the high beams, the same problem happened with my low beam but i replaced the bulb and everything was fine. Another thing I noticed was sometimes my car will have a sign up saying DRL which I believe means my day time lights aren't working either, anyone know how to resolve this issue? I honestly don't want to pay honda any more money. Another thing is my car is at about 150,000km if that makes any difference.

Does the DRL indicator & missing high beam occur at the same time ??

Do you have a buzzing noise of any sorts present when these problems occur ??

Thank you
I think there is a drl relay behind the glove box...and also contained inside the drl control unit unless something changed for the 04/05 headlights.
