I just switched to an asian guage cluster from an 01 es civic, everything works properly, however this cluster produces an annoying dinging sound when the car is in reverse! Ive tried removing the reverse bulb in the cluster but that didnt work. anyone know how I can stop the dinging? lol thanks

I would say you will have to live with it, most likely it is using the seat belt/key in ignition/headlights on warning buzzer which is part of the cluster.

thanks for the response I figured it was using the same speaker thats in the cluster, but I would rather have no sounds at all then other sounds plus this one. In other words, if there is one specific wire for sounds somewhere i can clip or something to that extent I would go without any sounds. thanks!

The wiring shows a "drive circuit" and a "beeper" it shows 2 single connections made to the beeper from the drive circuit. If the beeper has actual leads you could cut one of those to silence it. You may be able to cover it and quiet the noise as well. Can't be much more help as I have never had one apart...only guessing.

I'm quite certain it is all contained inside the cluster,you may be able to located the buzzer and see if wires are attached or it may be soldered into a board ??

Any photos of the cluster?? I didn't know the JDM Civics had different clusters.

It just looks the same as any canadian lx/ex cluster, the reverse dinging is the only difference from what I can tell. I needed one in metric kph so I bought this one instead of the many mph ones on ebay.
