Problem with drivers heated mirror and speaker in the door

I have a 2002 Civic LX sedan with heated mirrors. About six months ago the drivers side headed mirror and drivers side speaker in the door stopped workin :-(

Do I need to remove the door from its hinges to check the section of wire that runs between the door and body of the car? Is this easy to do?

I really need this fixed before winter. Ugh! Thanks!

Re: Problem with drivers heated mirror and speaker in the door

If the wires are broken (sounds like they are, & more than one) They will pull with just a gentle tug. 1 set in the door and matching set inside car.

I would try splicing new wires to the broken ends and running it through the rubber channel in the door jamb. And connect inside to the other broken wire ends.

Getting through the rubber channel could be a challenge, use caution to not cause further breaks or damage other wires.
