Question EK Civic Keyless entry/dome light

Is there a work-around or adapter that allows you to put in an aftermarket CD/DVD/TAPE deck that will allow you to remove the stock stereo and not lose the keyless entry and dome light? I've read about people keeping the stock unit behind the dash. I would prefer NOT to go this route.

If I have an aftermarket alarm w/ keyless entry installed, would this correct the issue? Would the dome light still not work though?

I'm sure this question has come up, but I can't seem to find a complete answer or at least an updated one since 2005...
