2004 Keyless Entry

I have a 2004 Civic, when trying to lock the doors using the key fob (keyless entry) the passenger door will lock but not the drivers door. Changed batteries, checked fuses (10 amps) any suggestions?

Yes, anyone know where the best place to buy an actuator for the drivers door? Need part #, etc so I can do it right the first time (actually my daughters car) Thanks in advance.

if it works with the switch, but not with the keyless, then the actuators fine.

Re: 2004 Keyless Entry

That's not completely true. Last summer, my fob was unable to lock the door any more but as long as I locked it with the switch on my way out it was fine. I got tired of living near a bad part of the city and possibly forgetting to lock the doors so I looked into it. It was actually the actuator. Replaced it and everything is good again. If you want to know the Genuine Honda part you will have to check online or through your local dealer. I would try to find it elsewhere though, as dealers charge around $50 for it, I bought mine from them only because I wanted to fix it that day though.
