I have a Jensen touchscreen in my civic and my brother went to take it out one day, (because he is an idiot), so I hooked it back up and now there is no sound from the speakers. I checked all the wire connections at the deck, all the wire connections at the speakers, and all the fuses. The deck powers on but there is no sound. What are the other possibilities??? And yes, I checked the mute button . Any help would be great!!!

After messing around with it more I found this out. When i connect and reconnect the wires at the speakers I can hear them make the rustling sound so I know the speakers are fine. Is there some way that he could have short-circuted something and it fried the speaker inputs on the CD player?

did you try to reset the unit? weird stuff sometimes happen when you disconnect it, it says in the manual you always need to push the reset button each time its installed.

Thanks for the idea Gearbox, but I tried and it didnt solve the problem. So finally I decided to take and old tape deck hook that up and it now i have sound. The only problem is that its a tape deck. So do u think that the CD player can be fixed without sending it in? Or am I just basically screwed?? Thanks again for your help guys.
