help with code?
Hi,
So, I have a 2005 Civic that usually runs like a dream.. So, it's gotten somewhat colder and the car is parked outside.. Just a few weeks ago when I turned the ignition on, there was a strange clicking sound, the car didn't turn on, and alot of the maintenance lights came on. After 4 tries, the car finally started and I immediately took it to a maintenance shop. They told me that there was an issue with the code, and so they reprogrammed it.. and things were fine for the next 3 weeks.
Yesterday morning though, the same thing happened - there was the clicking and the indoor maintenance lights turned on. But, this time something else happened: The radio/CD player's screen just flashed the time, and when I pressed CD1, the words CODE appeared, and when I tried to press another button ERROR1 came up.
Can anyone help me with this? Can I reprogram it myself? Or, do I need to take it back to the repair shop again?
Thanks,
S

Re: help with code?
The radio displaying code is most likely due to your battery being low/dead. It wants the anti theft code entered.
Your car not starting....? What color is the indicator on the top of your battery ?? (Green or Yellow)
