jumper in kappa crossover?

jumper in kappa crossover?
I just recently opened up the crossover (popped off the top) and noticed that there's a jumper there.
One setting it "flat" the other is "contour". I switched it from one to the other and the only thing that I
noticed was that the tweeters (and possibly the woofer) were not at loud (on the contour setting). Any
one know what the settings are for? Is that all they do, lower the volume a bit? I'm using the kappa 60.3cs
