Ignited Bi-Xeon HID kit obtained (Help)

I managed to help out a local vendor and he agreed to give me great pricing on a Bi-Xenon HID kit. I got this Ignited kit (reputable name, no ebay), for $200 Canadian.

As far as I know the installation is plug and play but I've heard I have to disable DRL? How do I go about doing this? Do I need to do this? I was told that due to the lights received less voltage the xenon bulb will flicker and burn out prematurely.

Running these on stock housings, it's a 6k kit. Any advice for installation is appreciated!

Car is a 2003 Civic.

Haha... I figured once you disabled it you wouldn't need it any more.

Bump to get you some help from someone who knows.

check out www.hidplanet.com they cover DRL's a lot over there. no matter what, get a relay harness to power them. the stock wiring isn't designed to handle the high current the ballasts pull during startup.

I wanted to get a HID kit for my '98. If I get a Bi-xenon HID kit does that mean I get to keep my brights? Will it fit with my stock housing?

Re: Ignited Bi-Xeon HID kit obtained (Help)

eh, it wont work very well. there will be alot of glare, and the hi beams are pretty stupid. alot of them use a halogen bulb tied to the hid that cannot be replaced, other just move the hid bulb around so you will barely have any hi beam thats actually useful. lo beam will be pretty bad as well with hotspots on the ground. if you want a good halogen upgrade, go with the philips xp H4 bulbs. it will be as bright or brighter than hid kit cause the reflector was designed for it.

So will the Phillips H4 bulbs fit in my stock housing? I thought my bulb size was 9003/HB2?
