I've read in other posts that EX has 6 1/2" speakers in the front, but I don't know what size speakers LX has?? Are they 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" ?? I've also read that for EX, you need to replace the factory mounting brackets...is that also the case for the LX? Also I know you need spacers to fit most aftermarket speakers...How deep of a speaker can LX fit with spacers?? I've read somewhere that it's 2" without the spacers, but how much more room does it have before the speakers hit the speaker grills on the doors? Thanks for the info.

well the DX, LX, HX, and EX all have the same doors and same sound system, there is no differences at all with the exception that LX and EX coupes have a tweeter pod.

But if you want tweeter pods you can get em from Majestic honda for $18 [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

oh alright...I thought for a second that I got ripped off...like they sold me a DX with power locks and etc...[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] do you happen to know if you need to cut the door panel to fit those tweeter pods?? Thanks for the info by the way.

oh another question about tweeters....are amps necessary to run component speakers?? Or are they just optional/recommended?

no door panel cutting.. it just clips in.. Also UI have a DX with power door locks.. he he he..What speakers were you lookin at dude?..the tried and true way to tell an LX from a DX.. Cruise COntroll, and Body color painted mirrors and door handles.

If you have cruise, Power doors and windows..you have an LX.. maybe in the states it's different cause Canadian models are a wee bit different as far as features go and such...

yeah, I think that american car's are different (at least in CA). If I remember correctly, the only car that came with painted mirrors was the EX, LX might of had painted door handles, but not mirrors... and only the EX comes in eternal blue

LX in canada has tweeters, and depending on your year...the LX in 2k1 had unpainted mirrors doorhandles, LX in 2k2 now have body coloured door handles.
