Power Inversion/game systems/laptops
I've noticed a ton of cool interior mods on the site but I'm curious, how are you guys powering your PS2, XBOX, Computer, etc? Are power inverters commonly used? What brands/mounting location? Does anyone know of a list or table that breaks down how much power is required for various devices? What wattage inverters (if any) do you use?
TIA for any input...

yes you'd need a power inverter. They are not too expensive.. should be under $300 for a good 600 watt inverter (more power than you'll need).. run a search on ebay..you can probably find one fairly cheap..

600w seems like quite a bit. For something like a video game console, couldn't you get by with a lot less without comprimsing quality? Does anyone have any good/bad experience with particular brands?

You could go with something less, but overhead in something like that is typically a better idea... i would listen to mohawk . if you wanna spend the cash and time on getting ps2, dvd, etc in your car being frugal is ok ... but there is a thing of too frugal know what i mean !

Always go overkill.. Some day you're gonna get the idea to keep a small beer fridge in your car for tailagte parties or something.. for a P/S 2 a 200 watt inverter should be good. But add in screens, or other goodies you might wanan plug in.

Thanks for the info..
Couple more questions regarding inverters:
Does anyone have experience with any particular brands? Any favorite mounting locations in a Civic? I would lean towards under a seat I guess, but I'm curious as to what others have done.
Thanks Guys!

In civics.. well if you find one small enough you may be able to squeeze one under the seat.. My cousin used a GE Inverter..some other companies like I thin Stinger make some.. Jensen maes some (actually decent)..
