Does anyone have a thread that i can expand my wiring harness? I am not sure what wire to use and i want to put my battery in my trunk anyone know what kind of wiring to use?

you dont need anything in the ecu harness. you just need to run some 4 guage wire from the battery in the trunk to a distribution block under the hood where you will tie into the original power wires to the alternator and fuse block. theres been a few threads on this already. look them up.

what damn sensors are you talking about? there are no sensors involved for a battery location.

what sensors are you talking abot are you trying to do a wire tuck
if you what to know how to lengthen your wirers get a shop manuel and find what gauge the wirer is then get that wire and cut it the add some more wire , but only goes for some thing how hard is that .

I dont recommend battery relocation. the increased resistance makes cranks less effective. for dead starts, jumping the car becomes more difficult as well.

If you dont mind either of these, I then recommend larger than 4 gauge to at least minimize the added resistance. However, from a physical standpoint, I dont see why 4 gauge wouldnt work.

Go to a hardware store, you will need a butt connector for 4 gauge (or 0 gauge!) wire. Home depo sells non insulated ones for just over a buck, and they do the job, if you can insulate them.

physically locate the battery into the trunk. I cannot recommend enough using an ABS or homeade batterybox to catch emissions. Even better if you can vent the battery to the outside of the car in a way such that acid drips will not get on any part of the car. Just in case.

Next, route your power wire from the old battery location to the new. One run will be just fine. cut the old ring terminal off the positive line and crimp the butt connector on. connect the opposite side to your power wire run. hook the other side to the new battery location.

the ground wire will no longer be needed. it is bolted to the chassis just under the intake resonator inlet, and the whole line may be removed. I recommend you save that piece for future use.

in the trunk, ground your battery just as you would any other amplifier or high current electronics.

I also recommend putting the battery on the passenger side in the trunk. cornering weakens with more weight in the back, and freeway onramps only turn in one direction. Too much weight in the drivers side and the car feels like driving a cow on those ramps!

bunch of newbs on here. first, what white rabbit said about making a box to catch battery emissions, it is completely retarded to relocate a stock battery or any vented battery for that matter. you need a sealed battery for relocation. second, if you get a 4 guage wire with a shitton of strands inside, you wont have a resistance problem. jl makes good wire for this. current moves on top of the wire strands, not through it. so it doesnt matter how big the wire is if it doesnt have a shitton of strands. as far as the wire tuck goes, if you dont know what youre doing i wouldnt attempt it. dont say you do know what youre doing because you wouldnt be on here asking for wiring diagrams if you did. you dont even need a wiring diagram for a wire tuck.

never asked for a wiring diagram just asked to see if nayone has done. I know there is a wire out there that really flexable not the kinnd you get at auto zone. If i knew this thread was goign to turn out liek this i would of never opened it

i ordered a ton of wire online. it came with about 30 spools of 100 feet in various guages. its wicked flexible. i would check electronics stores.

no problem. just a few words of advice from previous experience, wire tucking makes it a pain in the *** when it comes time to diagnose wiring problems.
