Wiring directly to factory head unit?

Wiring directly to factory head unit?
Long story short...my 6.5's and 6x9's were hooked up to a 4ch amp...my amp got stolen....was wondering if i can directly cut and splice each speaker into the factory head unit harness? let me know guys...thanks.
