info for people doing the Less Glare Head Unit DIY
A couple of weeks ago I attempted to get the Metra pieces needed to do the Less Glare Head Unit DIY.
DIY: Less Glare Head Unit
I ordered the parts from Autotoys.com. Worst site I've ever done business with. Technically I didn't even do business with them, because they tried to steal my money. Thats a whole other topic. If you want to know why not to order the parts needed to do this DIY just read my other post about Autotoys.com
I Hate Autotoys.com
Back to my point. Last week, I found a new place to order the parts from. It's called http://Installer-parts.com I ordered both parts needed to do the istall from this website.
Metra parts #99-7865 (double DIN dash kit)
Metra parts # 88-00-9000 (universal pocket)
This is the place to go if you are trying to find the parts to do this DIY. The parts were on back order when I ordered so they shipped them priority mail, which got here in two days. The parts were in perfect shape. None of those messed up boxes like you get from some places. I definately reccomend this place and would buy from them again.
As far as the DIY goes, It was so incredibly helpful. I can actually see the screen on my head unit now. If you were considering doing this DIY, I say go for it. You won't be disappointed.
