vent control doesnt work

my 03 civic coupe got broken into and my deck (+subs/amps) were stolen. so basically i have a big gap but my a/c console is still their intact. however, the **** thats on the very top (where you control where you want the air to blow) doesnt light up. does anyone know which color wire i need to reattach? im guessing it was ripped and i need to splice it back together.
i can takes pics if needed

Re: vent control doesnt work

all the wires that run to it run in from the bottom of the console. their are very many wires so just take a DMM and test each wire until you find the right one. The bulb possibly may have burnt out to from too much vibration or something. check that out too.

Re: vent control doesnt work

i had a viper 791xv alarm and i was too far in range to get recieving signal. but knowing ppl nowadays, no one pays close attention to alarms.

i dont have access to dmm or know how to use one. is this something a car audio shop can do (for free)?

Re: vent control doesnt work

they might. its like a 20 dollar tool it would be to your benefit to get one. how much work do you do on your car? they come in handy quite often. Car audio shop may look at it for free, i dk how much they would charge to fix it though.

Re: vent control doesnt work

It could be just the bulb, They are quite fragile.

You could also remove and re-seat the bulb.
