Re: Check out the work in progress
yea i had the car since 01 and since im in the army not much time to do anything but what u see.. and being in iraq i save some money and decided to do it big.. i love my vic, wife doesnt but who cares.. the lambo doors i like but changing to the 90 degree with the actuators. only prob i find right now is getting the body kit.. i want the ZEN body kit but they want almost $400(im in alaska.FT WAINWRIGHT) just to ship i have the money but not paying that much just for the shipping and as for the engine im working on a deal for a complete RSX S for 7500 its wrecked but what ineed is still good and as for the bottles there oil fuel mix to act as an accelerant on an IED we found while on one of our patrols and as for rice i dont care im a ricer but the tails are going to be tinted with LEDs in them.. the rims i got for 300 with tires and i got them cause they were brand new tires(NITTO 215 35 18) so i thought when i get the new rims that will save me sum money.. any reccomendations ill appreciate with the system and the drop will come when i get the wall built behind my seats(each woofer need 5 cub feet of air space), dont want to drop until i find out how much the car will when i put in all that weight
thanks u all for the input more to come

Re: Check out the work in progress
yea the only time she comes out is in the summer and thats only from 1 apr till like aug cause ounce it gets cold they start throwing rocks on the ground and it hurts me when i find a new paint chip or scratch cause of that.. thank you for your service... where you stationed at whats ur MOS im a 13B (FA) anyways guess gonna have to goto the local shop here and see what they got for me which will prob be much of nothing... any ideas of how to run a second alternator i mean i might have to cut into the hood and put a sccop on it for the second alternator if i did do that exspecially when i do the k20 swap cause of clearance issues.. not really but i took off my fenders and the only hard thing was aligning the doors( i did it myself) just before you take of your hinges tape down the door so that it wont move when you take off your stock hinges and put the kit init will work better thats the way i did it with the second door and had no problems with allignment

QUESTION? the nav system comes with those ugly square looking hockey pucs for the antenna.. what can i do about it? should i get one of those shark fins and place it on the roof of the car or what?
Re: Check out the work in progress

Re: Check out the work in progress
sorry for taking so long to post back up... for the guages well there indiglo gauges and pretty straight forward setup take off cluster and work around the needles and also need to pull the neddles out some so they wont stick.. i used crazy glue to glue themcause of that issue the tape they come with is to thick and i already new i was going to change the stock cluster sometime down the road but until then this will work for me....and yea im doing alot of it myself.. the project is on a stand still till i get my FATMAT which still hasnt come in and the only thing im not doing is building the wall behind my seats and the amp racks but the wiring and eveything else is all me and for the nav still undecided where im going to put the antenna still waiting on sum opinions if i should go with a shark fin and put the antenna inside of it,, i know there are two sets of power wire running to the back the 0 guage and 8 guage the 0 well thats for the the other batteries and the 8 is for the 2 a distro block that will power the 800 watt amps and nav system.. any ideas will be appreciated

Re: Check out the work in progress
make sure your grounds are 1/0 as well if that's what your main power wires are. at least the main ground from the battery to the chassis. this gets overlooked a lot.

Re: Check out the work in progress
iight thanks.. i was actually gonna run all the grounds to a distro block and have the distro block ground to one spot. or is that a big mistake?
