It won't be a waste at all. Those fans will cool alot better. I'm upgrading my fans to the slim fans as well as Koyo radiator. I know this company is selling fans on honda tech, $50 for 10" fan or $95 for 2 10" fans. Which is a good price.

Re: slim fans for radiator..
but y would u if the ones you have work fine? i have been boosting for years now and take it to the track every chance i get and not once have i ever over heated. the needle stays right in the middle at all times.the only time i did have a problem is when i blew the head gasket, which is going to make any engine over heat no matter the size/type of fans.

Re: slim fans for radiator..
the fans cooling power is more or less irrelevant... anything over 35 MPH and the airflow through the radiator cools the car. The stockers have enough power to keep the car cool in traffic, and the turbo shouldnt really push up the water temp if its tuned right.
They save room, thats really their biggest advantage and the only real reason to need to upgrade them.

i actually had a friend that wired up a set on s seperate switch so that he could turn them on when in traffic. the only problem is he would often forget to turn them off and run down his battery.

Honestly, how hard is it for you to go out in the driveway and stick a tape measure on the fan?
Push or pull, yet another highly intuitive question. They're behind the radiator... whats that tell you about the direction they have to operate in order to draw in cool air?

Yea it's kinda common sense if you think about it hard enough. But sometimes your brain just doesn't think of it. Don't worry, we all do it. Yes they are pullers. I'm going with 12" Fans with the Koyo Radiator. Def saves alot of room down there, since there isn't much room in there to begin with.
