CD Player Will Not Power On!!!!!!

Hey there guys, my stock cd player is able to load and eject cd's however it will not power on. I installed another aftermarket deck thinking that there may be a problem with my stock deck, however this did not solve the problem as the aftermarket deck to did not power on. Could it be that one of the wires short-circuted and if so is there any way that I can confirm that this is the problem? if so how can I correct the problem and get my deck working again? Input appreciated

Thanks

Have you looked at Fuse #8 (7.5A) in the underdash fuse box?

check owners manual for fuse list. they are under the hood next to battery and also under the dash above brake pedal .

x2

and if that fuse is good, then check behind your headunit, the red wire should have power when ignition is in acc. or on position, if not, check the white/red wire at your ignition switch for the same thing. if there is no problem there, check the #9 (10 amp) fuse under the hood and the yellow wire in the back of your headunit for constant power nomatter ignition position
