Need help. Electrical question

I want to install a glow stick onto my sub box. I want to know if it's ok to connect the power/ground wires of the glow stick to the power/ground wires of the amp. Will this cause a short circuit? Do I need to find a different power source or will the one from the amp is ok?

the power from the amp is fine. just fuse the neon or whatever youre hooking up and it will be ok.
