speaker mounting kits?

i replaced my oem speakers with 6.5" boston acoustics. they came with "mounting hardware" which consists of screws and clips. the instruction sheet for mounting is generic and the hole in our doors are not big enough to be mounted like in the picture.

are there mounting kits for aftermarket speakers anywhere? i searched and only came up with headunit kits. other possible mounting solutions i found and am trying to avoid are drilling into the door, cutting the door to make hole bigger, and destroying oem speakers to get the bracket.

how did you guys install ur speakers?

look for speaker acessories. They have all kinds of things that might work for you, including speaker mounts.

dude, read my DIY sticky. it's in my sig. i tell you how to make mounting spacers and how to mount them. i've got an extra set if you want them cheap. if not, follow the directions and make your own.

Like I said, I'm trying to avoid drilling into my door and your diy does just that.

Would this fit on my 04 coupe? and I don't need to drill right?

you'll still need to drill with those. if you have looked at the stock speakers, you know they have 2 tabs at the bottom and a clip at the top. those adapters don't have that. they have 3 tabs with holes to put screws in. i honestly don't think there's a way to avoid drilling holes that will give you decent results
