drained battery
Ive got an issue, i think that my cap is constantly draining my battery. I know the alt. is good cuz im getting 14.blah blah when the car is runnin at the battery. So i got to thinkin that i have it wired wrong. Theres a power wire coming from the battery to the back into a splitter, then a power wire to the cap, and also other power wires out of the splitter to other things. And then the cap goes to ground...? thats how the manual said to wire it so i wired it like that and now its draining my battery. So anyone know how to fix it besides removing the cap?

Do you have seperate power wires going to the cap, and seperate power wires to your amp?? So in other words. From the distribution block, do you have one +wire going to the amp and one +wire going to the cap?? If so, its setup wrong.
All I know is you need to have the + wire from the battery to the cap, and then a +wire from the cap to the amp. If its not setup that way, the cap isn't doing anything. Do you have it setup it that way??

negative on the current draw, and about the cap not wired right there is an illustration in the book that has ONE main power wire into a block, then One power to the amp and ONE power to the cap. then they ground seperatly. The reason this works is because the amp is going to draw power from any where and the cap acts as a "second battery" so to say. Thats how I understand it atleast.
