who wants to make $100

I have an 01 Ex, and I am looking for someone who can take my stock cluster and replace the led's with blue ones. Is $100 plus materials worth it to anyone?

no one wants to make $100?
I don't think that's too bad an offer.
Remember, I'll pay for materials and shipping.

Dude, I am on social security--need something like this!!! I have been a technician for most of my 44 years (45 tomorrow)

I can do a good job, and have the tools.
Are you selecting and shipping all the parts? If so-no problem at all.

BTW
I am a moderator on Ford Explorer Sport Trac Ranger Enthusiasts Serious Explorations , and I have a very good reputation.

dude this 01 cluster is a plug and play install. i just sold alpha 5 my old kit for it. you can pick up the parts for about 30 bucks total. if you can change a tail light bulb, you can do this swap. diskreet even wrote a diy for it. might be hard to find on here since the takever, but check emhonda.com. dont waste your 100 bucks.

Well I don't know these vehicles well enough to offer modification advice--
But I do know my skills--
Please don't think I was taking advantage of anyone--I just saw the opportunity. It seems he would rather pay for the job, than mess with it himself---

Now, what about these lights?
Are they similar to 194 style like in my ford cluster????

I'm working on this right now, you have to take the cluster apart, tap into the stock power, and drill and mount leds in a clear plastic piece underneath the actual guages. The stock bulb locations don't work. You have to mount and wire everything on your own.

I haven't gotten too far with this, i've got the cluster ripped apart, and have figured out what I need to do, as far as actually doing it, well that's another thing entirely. I still have to get LEDs, and resistors, but I'll try to remember to take some pics as i'm doing it.

I'm just doing another 04-05 DX, but I think they were the same for all years. I've got it apart, the only hard part is going to be figuring out what i need for leds and resistors (i don't know much about that kind of thing) and then getting the needles in the right place when I put it back together. I actually bought an 04-05 auto cluster, even though mine is a manual just so I could take it apart, see what it looked like and maybe even get the leds mounted in the clear plastic part, so I don't have to be pressed for time. I'm actually going to mod my stock cluster, 'cause I don't want my mileage to be off. When I actually get some time, I should be all set. I'm actually talking to Gearbox on the other site, so I'm getting some help. I'd love to have that DIY you're talking about, tho, if it covers selection of leds and resistors.

the 03-05 are the same and the 01-02 are the same. 01-02 is plug and play. 03-05 is the hard one. good luck getting the 03-05 cluster to work when you put it back together. if the little metal probe things came out with the needles i think youre pretty much screwed. i was lucky enough to have them stay in the cluster and only the needles came off. ill get the pics up tomorrow when i get home from work. and for the parts you need in your sig, check my sig for a part out link. im parting out an 01 and it has the climate controls and trim.
