LMFOA, that **** used to happen to me i hated it. get a stronger battery (kinetics 1400 is good ) then get a 170amp alt ( www.4alterstart.com they make a nice one ) and finally upgrade your wires to 4 gauge.

Good advice but I would say upgrade the wires first, start out with a cheaper fix to see if that is the problem before you spend money of everything else.

2-channel amp?
amp model?
4 ohm drivers?
speaker brand and model or other specs?
what are you doing for crossovers?
what size power wire?
where did you go for your ground connection?
I want to make sure I understand correctly, everything is fine until a 'large' bass note is about to play and then things shut down. The amp and deck shut down from what I read, is that right? Do they come back on their own and if so after how long?
Surely this is an installation issue, the stock electrical system is up to the task of a 300 watt amp and two midbass drivers.

It usually is a safety device that is installed into the radio when you are pulling to many amp/power, mine did the same thing and i had to get a compasitor..

you def do not need to drop that kinda cash into a batt and alt just to run a 300 watt kenwood that is probably only pushing 200 watts anyways lol maybe upgrade the wires....battery if its old but def dont need to drop 300-500 bucks into a new alt to run a 300 watt amp ha ha
