Attn: Mohawk... Again
Hi Mohawk.......i wanna start by saying that i appreciate everything that you do on this site, you have helped me personally a ton of times. now for my question
i know that you have the thread on where to place your subs (which is awesome!) but i was wondering if you could give me an opinion on where to face mine with my setup.... everything in my car is Kenwood Excelon ( i know its not the best, but i like them alot).. well i jsut picked up 2 10"s a 660 watt amp. now i also have the kenwood 4 ch amp too. i was curious if i should put them more to the front or the back of the trunk to get the best and cleanest bass around.. the second part to my question is should i put them facing to the back or put them in the wheel well facing up ? any help at all would be awesome... thanks again

Hmmm with those 10's if you make an enclosure in the wheel well you can go ported and get some serious low bass and still hae tight punchy sound.... If you're gonna go with a wheel well enclosure..make sure you know you're not gonna be using your trunk for cargo and stuff.. For Best bass response technicall face the subs toward the license plate and have the box and the about 5" away from the license plate ... but that's imprcticle..
I'd go for a custom wheel well enclosure, 2.3cu.ft with a pair of 3"x 14" long aeroports..that'll tune ya in the 33hz range.. get you some dang good low end response..and still sound quite nice.
Cheers
