removing the stock head unit getting behind the dash

Stupid question i am trying to get behind the stock head unit to install a fm modulator (2005)for some sat radio and i was trying to do it yesterday. I don't want to break anything is there screws that have to come out or what? I was prying pretty hard on the radio trim piece and i got the vents to come out a little at the top but i didn't want to break anything. any help would be great.

thanks in advance
