remote start recommendation?

Anyone have one or know of a kit thats recommendation worthy?

I also have the stock Honda keyless entry system on my car already, is there any way I can just use that to start up the car?

don't trust the remote start/alarm combos on ebay. I bought one back in December, and ended up just dropping 400 extra dollars to get an autopage remote start/alarm installed.

Shouldn't matter where you buy...all that should matter is what you buy. Just be skeptical about e-bay.

As for remote starters...IDK, I've been looking forever too, can't find what I want from the brands I trust at a price I'm willing to pay!

Just think about it this way. You get what you pay for. I made the mistake of paying 150 for one on ebay, and when I finally found a shop that would install it, the whole system was inoperable. So I payed an extra 200 dollars to the shop for trying to install the broken system.

On another note. The majority of shops will not touch remote starts that are from somewhere besides their store. Bottom line is, just drop the extra cash and buy something reliable and is backed by the store that installs it.

What I'm trying to say is if you go buy a viper, you're buying a viper...whether it's from Wal-Mart, E-bay or a retailer, it's still the same thing. If you made the mistake of buying a no name brand remote starter, that's your own damn fault.

yes you can put it on a manual, but finding a place to do it is difficult due to liability reasons(in case you leave it in gear).

how is it legal? all remote starts are illegal on 5spds, due to the fact that if its in gear it jumps. and i know my car if i leave it in gear it will jump then stall, then try again, and stall, and try again and stall. then it just stays off. but if i was like in a parking lot and remote start it would hit the car in front of me 3 times before it stopped.

I believe that the compustar system is able to detect whether you are in gear. I have a compustar system and i love it! Great range, lots of features, I only wish i had another $1000 to spend on solenoids to automate everything.

its legal because it is specially made for manual cars.... there's a 3 step process you have to follow if you want to use the carstarter... its very safe. Its got the longest range ive ever seen on any car alarm and starter.

The Peripheral NSS can make a remote starter work safely on a manual. You have to do a valet take over via remote before you get out of the car, then you get out and arm it. You can do one r/s until system is disarmed or alarm is set off.

well kasimmmm already answered... it is a 3 step process and if you mess it up it wont remote start.... it'll just beep at you...lol. i get pissed sometimes if i didnt realize that i messed it up. i really love this alarm i wish i had shyt load of money too to automate everything. oh well, i'm moving on to my engine and going from there. one thing that i love about this alarm is that i pull go thru the process so the remote start will work and turn off my car but the car is still running like a turbo timer, and i get out and once i close the door the doors lock the engine shuts off and the alarm arms itself. its pretty cool.

I also got the 2wss-as alarm, it's great! The only problem is that the remote is very sensitive to damage. I'm guessing the remote was dropped too many times and I had to replace it. (there was no visible damage other than scratches). Same thing happened to a friend of mines but his also had a crack on the screen of the remote.
